Getting Started with FlightPlan
Welcome to FlightPlan!
This guide will walk you through the steps to set up your account, complete your pilot profile, and start using all of FlightPlanโs features like flight logging, incident reporting, and equipment tracking.
โ What Youโll Need Before You Begin
- A valid email address
- Your FAA Part 107 Certificate or Pilot License Number
- A digital copy of your pilot certificate (JPG or PDF)
- Details about your drone equipment (Brand, Model, Serial Number, FAA Registration)
- An AirData account to retrieve your flight logs, the free acount works just fine. AirData.com
- Flight Logs downloaded from AirData in csv format.
๐ซ Step-by-Step Setup

Register your account
Enter a username, email, and a secure password to create your FlightPlan account. -
Complete your pilot profile
After logging in, youโll be prompted to add your license number, upload a license image, and optionally enter training records. -
Add your equipment
Navigate to the Equipment section and input your drone, controller, battery, and FAA details. You can also upload certificates and receipts. -
Log your first flight
Use the Flight Log section to add a flight date, duration, location, and stats like max altitude, speed, and total distance. -
Upload documents
Visit the Documents section to upload SOPs, waivers, manuals, and more. Organize by type for quick reference. -
Review your dashboard
See summaries of your flight stats, equipment, incidents, and documents all in one place. -
Report any incidents (if needed)
Use the Incident Report Wizard to record issues, accidents, or safety concerns in a detailed, multi-step form.
Once youโve completed the setup, you're ready to fly and track with confidence.
